---- — CLINTON — Election results for the Clinton and DeWitt races are now official.

Clinton County supervisors John Staszewski and Brian Schmidt met Thursday with County Auditor Eric Van Lancker and Deputy Auditor of Elections Natalie Ehm to review the election results in both municipalities. After less than 30 minutes, Van Lancker agreed there were no changes from the unofficial numbers reported Tuesday.

Tom Determann and Grant Wilke were elected as At-Large councilmen. Two tax issues were voted down by the voters.

Julie Allesee beat Maggie Klaes in Ward 1, with 448 votes to 100. Lynn McGraw ran unopposed in Ward 2. Ed O’Neill won in Ward 3, with 596 votes for him and 384 for opponent Bev Hermann.

The two open DeWitt seats were unopposed. Dawn Marcus was elected for council At-Large and Steve Hasenmiller was elected in Ward 2.

The board will canvas for the remaining municipalities at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. Election results that will be considered include Goose Lake, where Janeen Jensen and Brandon Eberhart are tied with five votes each for the third open council At-Large seat. Janice L. Bormann and Ken Schoon were elected to the other two seats with 16 and 18 votes.
