River Arts Center exhibit on display through Dec. 23

CLINTON — The Clinton Art Association’s annual membership show is now on display at the River Arts Center through Dec. 23.

A reception for the artists will be held during the downtown open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Ann Hubbart will be featured at the keyboard from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. The public is welcome to visit the center at 229 Fifth Ave. South, which is operated by CAA members and friends on a volunteer basis.

During the year the River Arts Center features seven exhibits by area artists, ending with the members’ exhibit. New art is usually featured, but this year, in honor of the CAA’s 50th anniversary, artists are also allowed to show favorites they have created in past years.  About 30 artists are featured in the gallery and gift shop showcasing paintings, photography, collage, glass, pottery, jewelry and many other one-of-a-kind creations.

The River Arts Center will host a tour by Fran Riley, from KWQC-TV 6, later this month that will be shown Nov. 29.

The River Arts Center is open from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.

Rainbow Pottery is open from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. For more information, call 243-3300.
