Fund-raiser will benefit Komen foundation

The Clinton USBC WBA Board of Directors is pleased to announce that once again this year we will be hosting a fund-raising event for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

This event takes place at the Plaza Bowling Center in Clinton on Oct. 12 and 13. Funds raised during this event will be given to the Davenport affiliate. This means that the money we raise during our event will stay in our local area. We have many women and men in the area who have used or are using the Komen Foundation support system as they battle breast cancer.

We want to take this time to thank those of you who have helped us in the past and hope that even in these trying economic times that you can assist us again. We rely on community and business support to help pay expenses for the event and any sponsorship monies left over at the end of the event minus expenses will be added to the donation portion of our event.

Last year we were able to donate $4,500 to the local Susan G. Komen affiliate in the Quad-Cities with the help of community involvement. During the event we honor survivors that are present, award door prizes and give prizes to those collecting donations at higher levels. We also have raffles to help raise money as well. We want this year’s event to also be fun while honoring those who have fought or are fighting breast cancer.

We welcome any help with door prizes and or raffle prizes as well and will be happy to give you a tax deductible receipt for your donations. Please feel free to contact us for further details or questions.

Your generosity is important for our fundraising success. It will aid in our celebrations of hard work and determined participants to raise funds to fight this terrible cancer. Everyone knows a fighter of Breast Cancer....so let’s fight the fight with them. Thank you.

Cleone Carstensen andSusie Schubert,

Clinton USBC WBA Board of Directors
