MILLEDGEVILLE, Ill. — The Carroll County fairgrounds in Milledgeville will feature a bluegrass festival this weekend.
The fiddle contest will get the festivities going at 7 p.m. Friday. An open stage will follow the conclusion of the contest.
Instrument workshops will being the day at 11 a.m. Saturday, with bands playing from 1 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 11 p.m The festivities conclude at 10 a.m. Sunday with a Gospel sing.
The headliner for this event is “American Drive,” from Stanton, Ken. Their recent single “Long Haul Truckin’ Man” is No. 1 on the Bluegrass Weekly top 20 Radio Airplay Chart.
Other groups performing at the festival include Bluegrass Express, The Burie Family and Illinois Rail.
Admission to the festival is $5 for Friday, $20 for Saturday, $5 for Sunday, and a weekend pass is $20. Children younger than 16 are admitted free with an adult.
Camping is available at an additional charge.
