BREAKING: Authorities release name of Morrison crash victim

---- — MORRISON, Ill. — Authorities have released the name of a driver killed in a two-vehicle head-on collision Tuesday afternoon on US 30 near Morrison.

Jesse R. Jones, 22, of Morrison was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash that happened around 3:50 p.m. at US 30 and Hillside Road. According to the Whiteside County Sheriff's Office, Jones was driving a passenger car east on US 30 when he crossed the center line and struck a westbound pickup driven by Dustin J. Funderberg, 31, of Morrison.

Funderberg as well as his passengers, Lani L. Funderberg, 66, of Morrison, Ill., and Mary M. Funderberg, 33, all were transported by emergency workers from the scene to be treated for their injuries.

The Whiteside County Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by the Morrison Police Department, Fulton Police Department, Morrison Fire Department, Fulton Fire Department, Morrison EMS, Fulton EMS, MedForce and the Illinois State Police.
