CLINTON — The Clinton Human Rights Commission has announced that Tammy Meyer of RSVP has been selected to receive the ninth annual Clinton Human Rights Commission Award.
This award is an “Acknowledgement of persons/groups who embody the spirit of human rights”.
For the last 38 years, she has organized 240 retirees who volunteer throughout the community through RSVP. Mobile Meals, Holiday Network, free tax preparation for seniors, Hearts & Hands and Clinton Community College’s ENCORE program are just a few of the programs that she manages. When implementing these programs, Meyer goes above and beyond the scope of her job to get things done.
An award ceremony will take place 4 p.m Monday, May 13, at City Hall, Council Chambers on the second floor. The public is invited to attend.
