Transformed Miners take out No. 5 Cougars for third straight sectional title

Linton completed the comeback few believed possible Friday night, coming from behind in the fourth quarter to upset Class A No. 5-ranked North Daviess 28-24 at Roy Williams Field in Linton. ....more>>

  • Big plays hurt Rockville in sectional championship
Visiting Rockville fell victim to several big plays Friday night as third-ranked Fountain Central won the Class A Sectional 39 high school football championship game by a 39-0 score.

  • Sanders, Jackson placed on injured reserve
The injury bug continues to haunt the Indianapolis Colts. Team officials confirmed Friday that both cornerback Marlin Jackson and safety Bob Sanders have been placed on injured reserve for the remainder of the season.

  • Pair of ISU freshmen ahead of curve on gridiron
Defensive end Ben Obaseki and center FN Lutz have had a big impact at various positions. Obaseki has started at end all season. Lutz moved into the offensive line early in the campaign and has since settled in as the starting center.

  • ISU's Marshall ready to put suspension behind him
Indiana State guard Harry Marshall watched the Sycamores’ men’s basketball exhibition against Rose-Hulman on Tuesday from one of the tunnels in Hulman Center. At the time, Marshall was indefinitely suspended due to a violation of team rules.

  • COLTS BULLETIN: Jackson on injured reserve for remainder of season
The injury bug continues to haunt the Indianapolis Colts. Team officials confirmed today that cornerback Marlin Jackson has been placed on injured reserve for the remainder of the season.

  • Harry Marshall reinstated to ISU men's basketball team
Whatever the rift was between Indiana State coach Kevin McKenna and ISU guard Harry Marshall that caused the senior to be suspended for four days remains a closely guarded secret, at least to the public at large. And it is officially over.

  • ISU's 6-3 freshman Rademacher lost for season
The injury bug has struck the Indiana State women’s basketball team again, this time before the 2009-10 regular season has even begun.

  • Hard work of Rox seniors, linemen help program maintain success
It might be time to correct a misconception about Rockville High School football that seems to exist widely — everywhere, perhaps, except among the young men who gather daily before school in the school’s weight room.

  • Added depth could make ISU women's basketball even stronger
Chelsea Buher lit up scoreboards not far from Terre Haute during her high school days at Lawrenceville, Ill. Then after Buher played sparingly for the University of Illinois as a freshman in 2007-08, she sat out last season due to transfer rules. So she’s not a newcomer to the Indiana State program, but she’s new to game action in Hulman Center.
