Evans-Hammond
Ashley Elizabeth Evans and Bryan Lee Hammond, both of Terre Haute, were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2009, in Memorial United Methodist Church in Terre Haute.
The Revs. Scott Johnson and Steve Killion officiated.
The Crossroads Brass; and organis, Dixie Purcell and vocalist Jane Cunningham, both of Bridgeport, Ill., provided music.
The bride is the daughter of Kathy and Bill Evans of Bridgeport. She is a 2002 graduate of Red Hill High School at Bridgeport, Ill., a 2006 graduate of Indiana State University with a bachelor of science degree in elementary and special education, and a 2008 graduate of ISU with a master of science degree in special education. She is a special education teacher for the Vigo County School Corp. at Deming Elementary School in Terre Haute.
Hammond is the son of Terri and Wayne Hammond of Terre Haute. He is a 2000 graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School, a 2005 graduate of ISU with a bachelor of science degree in elementary and special education, and a 2008 graduate of ISU with a master of science degree in special education. He is special education teacher for the Vigo County School Corp. at Terre Haute North.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Krystal Smith of Scottsdale, Ariz., was honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Amy Abell of Bridgeport, Meghan Armour of New Palestine, Ind., Jessica Bolander of New Palestine, Tricia Crain of Indianapolis, Erica Everett of Terre Haute, Ann Haley of Indianapolis, Morgan Phillips of Bloomington, Ind., and Heather Stopczynski of Indianapolis.
Groomsmen were Brad Hammond of Clinton, Ind., brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Kurt Culver of Goldsboro, N.C., Scott Evans, brother of the bride, of Allentown, Pa., Matthew King, cousin of the bride, of Edwardsville, Ill., Nicholas Tegtmeyer of Brownsburg, Ind., Matthew Tegtmeyer of Terre Haute, and Tom Hammond, uncle of the bridegroom, of Terre Haute.
Ryan Nicholson of Terre Haute, cousin of the bride, was usher.
Bailey Hammond of Clinton, niece of the bridegroom, and Haylee Smith of Terre Haute, cousin of the bride, were flower girls.
Carter Hammond of Clinton, nephew of the bridegroom, and Kyler Smith of Terre Haute, cousin of the bride, were ring bearers.
Deana Conner of Terre Haute was a reader guest and book attendant.
Taylor Smith of Terre Haute, cousin of the bride, was program attendant.
A dinner and dance reception followed in the O’Shaughnessy Dining Room in Providence Center at St. Mary-of-the Woods.
Sue Cottrell of Terre Haute, aunt of the bridegroom, Terri King of Edwardsville, Ill., aunt of the bride, and Kathy Troost of Snohomish, Wash., aunt of the bridegroom, were servers.
The couple took a wedding trip to the Royal Resort in Cancun, Mexico.
Luchtefeld-Abel
Jeannie Marie Luchtefeld and Joshua Andrew Abel were united in marriage at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2009, in Jacksonville, N.C.
The bride is the daughter of Jackie and Alden Luchtefeld of Lawrenceville, Ill. She is a graduate of Lawrenceville High School and Vincennes University, and a registered nurse in emergency services at Daviess Community Hospital in Washington, Ind.
The bridegroom is the son of Joyce and Norman Abel of Vincennes. He is a graduate of South Knox High School and attended Vincennes University. He is a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, N.C., awaiting his second deployment to Iraq.
The couple took a wedding trip to the shoreline of Kill Devil Hills, Kitty Hawk and Cape Hatteras, N.C.
