Baker-Zwaska
Gail Addison Baker and Robert Miles Zwaska were united in marriage at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008, in St. Benedict Catholic Church.
The Rev. John Aiello officiated. Bill Cain, Rosemary Shavloske and vocalists Jessica Blessinger, Beth Kyle and Jennifer Nord provided music.
Diana Knox, Peter Shanahan and Jessica Lammers were lectors.
The bride is the daughter of Mary Add and James Baker of Terre Haute. She is a 1997 graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School, a 2001 graduate of St. Mary-of-the-Woods College with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education, and a 2005 graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington with a master of arts degree. She is a recreation supervisor and the preschool director for the Batavia, Ill., Park District.
The bridegroom is the son of Cathy and Robert Zwaska of Thiensville, Wis. He is a 1995 graduate of Marquette University High School and a 1999 graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor of science degree in physics and mathematics. He received his Ph.D. in physics from the University of Texas at Austin in 2005. He is a physicist at Fermilab in Batavia.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Carol Dial, sister of the bride, and Karen Stuerenberg were honor attendants. Beth Anderson, Jeanine LaChance and Lisa Lecher were bridesmaids. Heidi Mattick, cousin of the bride, was junior bridesmaid.
Michael and David Zwaska, brothers of the bridegroom, were best men. Michael Gonzales, Jason Koskinen, Greg Licciardello and Keith Stuerenberg were groomsmen. Austin Owen, cousin of the bride, was junior groomsman.
Christopher Budish and Marcus Dial, brother-in-law of the bride, were ushers.
Elizabeth Medina, cousin of the bridegroom, and Sage Owen, cousin of the bride, were flower girls.
Ellen Marburger, Hayden Mattick, cousins of the bride, Katie Johanni and William Tanzman, cousins of the bridegroom, were program attendants.
Laura Juergens and Lisa Lempges were guest book attendants.
A dinner and dance reception followed in O’Shaughnessy Dining Room, St. Mary-of-the- Woods College.
The couple took a wedding trip to Jamaica and now reside in North Aurora, Ill.
Thralls-Lozier
Rachel Elizabeth Thralls and Christopher Scott Lozier were united in marriage on Aug. 30, 2008, in the Church of the Immaculate Conception at St. Mary-of-the-Woods.
Carrie Arnold, vocalist, and Bill Cain, organist, provided music.
The bride is the daughter of Mary Lu and Greg Thralls of West Terre Haute.
The bridegroom is the son of Tina and Kevin Lozier of West Terre Haute.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
Mandee Thralls of West Terre Haute was honor attendant. Melinda Short, Alyssa Lozier, Melissa Maher and Amanda Chapman were bridesmaids.
Travis Lozier of Indianapolis was best man. Ryan Ward, Isaiah Thralls, Doug Shaw and Andrew Majors were groomsmen.
Zach Thralls, Rick Dowell and Trevor Dreher were ushers. Stephen Budnick was reader.
A reception followed in the Ohio Building.
The couple took a wedding trip to the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas and now reside in Lafayette.
Garro-Shipman
Nicole Rose Garro and Bret Devan Shipman were united in marriage at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2008, in Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Elmhurst, Ill.
Deacon Thomas Nolan officiated. Arlene Mitchna, organist and vocalist, provided the music.
The bride is the daughter of Jane and Robert Garro of Elmhurst. She is a 2007 graduate of Indiana State University and is employed by Hamilton Center Inc. in Terre Haute.
The bridegroom is the son of Deanna and Gary Shipman of Jasonville. He is a 2007 graduate of ISU and is employed by Industrial Supply Co. of Terre Haute.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Denise Garro, sister of the bride, was honor attendant. Gina Garro, sister of the bride, Stephanie Braise and Jamie Bennett were bridesmaids.
B.A. Shipman, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Chris Kosiak, Thad Vandeventer and Freddie Horath were groomsmen.
Josh Goodwin and Eric Glasco, cousins of the bridegroom, were ushers.
Kaitlynn Goodwin, cousin of the bridegroom, was flower girl. Brayson Shipman, nephew of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.
Bryly Shipman, niece of the bridegroom, was guest book attendant.
A reception followed in the Drury Lane at Oakbrook Terrace, Ill.
Solid Gold Sound provided music.
Daria Goodwin, aunt of the bridegroom, provided wedding cake. Photography and videography was provided by Austin and Amber Woodrum.
The couple took a wedding trip to St. Thomas Island and now reside in Terre Haute.
