Blood alcohol level results for Jim Webster, Precinct 4 commissioner, will be independently tested by a Fort Worth forensics lab, Jim Lane, Webster’s attorney said.

“Well, we didn’t have a pretrial per se,” Lane said. “We filed some motions and the court granted the motions.”

Lane said one of the motions was for the retesting of the results.

Last Friday, Webster was in Tarrant County Criminal Court No. 10 in Fort Worth for a pretrial hearing on charges of unlawfully carrying a weapon and driving while intoxicated.

In May, Webster was arrested in Arlington after he called police following a traffic accident where he hit a median and blew out two tires. Webster was reportedly legally intoxicated with a blood alcohol level of .08.

No future trial dates are currently set.
