Hall seventh grade ends on high note

Monday, the Hall Kangaroos took on Tison in football action. The white team started the night off with a 20-18 win. Kasen Black started the scoring off by returning a punt for the first score. Later, Malcolm Sutton caught an 8-yard TD pass from Mathis Raper followed by a 2-point conversion. Malcolm Sutton found the end zone one more time on a 16-yard run to seal the win. The white team was 4-1 in district and finished third.

The black team followed up with a 14-6 victory. Reese Sears scored first on a 1-yard run then added the 2-point conversion for an 8-0 lead. Later, Devan Gray added a 34-TD yard run to extend the lead. The black team finished 5-1 in district and finished in second. In the last game of the season, the blue team powered their way to 28-6 win. Braden Riebe scored first with a 36-yard TD run followed by a Jared Schwartze 2-point conversion. Next, Jared Schwartze scored his first TD of the night followed by a Riebe 2-point conversion. Schwartze then added an 8-yard TD run. Dylan Puckett finished the game by punching in a TD of his own. The blue team finished 5-2 in district, clinching second.



Tison 8th splits finales with Hall

Staff Report

The Tison 8th grade played crosstown rival Hall on Tuesday night. The night started out slow with the red team losing a close one, 8-0. The defense played a tough game, led by Austin Manney and Barrett McElroy. The white team came home with a tough loss, with two long runs by Devin Smith being called back. The team kept fighting hard but it was not their night. On offense Cordell Morgan ran hard from his full back spot. Defensively, the team was led by the defensive line. The night ended with a thriller. The blue team came away with a 7-6 win. The charge was led by Jace Ford, Chris Vega, James Ovalle, Zach Campbell and Andrew Healy. Andrew Cape led the way.
