Dolan graduates from training

FULTON, Ill. — Pvt. 1st Class William (Brycen) Dolan of Fulton, IL, formerly of Camanche, IA graduated on Oct. 16, 2014 OSUT from Military Police Training at Ft. Leonardwood, MO. 

During his nine weeks of basic training and nine weeks of AIT’s, he learned core values, physical fitness, combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare, drill and ceremony marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, field tactics, military courtesy and military justice. He also earned the Outstanding Achievement Award in the “Run for the Fallen” and his sharp shooting pins in pistol and rifle and a medal for 300+ in physical fitness.

Dolan is a 2014 graduate of Fulton High School and enlisted in the Illinois National Guard in June 2013. Both of his grandfathers were veterans of WWII. John Dolan was enlisted in the Army Air Force. Jay Bentley was enlisted with the 3rd Division USMC and was one of the last surviving Marines who were on Iwo Jima. He passed away Feb. 7, 2014.

Dolan is the son of Bill and Mary (Bentley) Dolan of Fulton. He is the grandson of the late Jay and Faye Bentley of Camanche, IA and John and Audrey Dolan of Clinton, IA.
