FULTON, Ill. — Garry and Brenda Medema of Fulton, Illinois will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on September 4, 2014.

They were married on September 4, 1964, in First Christian Reformed Church, Fulton. Garry is retired from the accounting department of General Electric in Morrison, and has his own financial services and tax preparation business. Brenda is retired from the River Bend School District, where she worked as an elementary school library aide for 25 years. She is now employed part-time at the Schmaling Library in Fulton.

They are the parents of 3 children: Jeff (Jennifer) Medema of Brownsburg, Indiana; Christy (Mike) Van Zuiden of Fulton; and Jen (Mark) Wentlandt of Port Washington, Wisconsin. They have six grandchildren: Jacob and Jamie Medema, Taylor and Trae VanZuiden, and Riley and Evie Wentlandt.

An open house to celebrate the occasion will be hosted by their children on Sunday afternoon, August 31st, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of First Reformed Church, located at 510 15th Avenue in Fulton. Please omit gifts. Friends and relatives are invited.
