CLINTON– Bond is set at $50,000 for two Clinton men facing felony charges.
District Court Judge Mark Fowler on Nov. 5 ordered bond of Jonathan M. Drury, 30, 4717 142nd St., be set at $50,000 cash or surety.
Defense attorney Melanie Thwing Oct. 24 filed a motion for bond reduction. The motion said Drury was being held on a $50,000 cash only bond. The motion says Drury had no means to post the bond and promised to appear at any time directed by the Court. The motion added Drury had a place to reside if released.
Drury is charged with two counts of second-degree sexual abuse, a Class B felony. A pretrial conference is scheduled for 10 a.m. Nov. 21.
Fowler on Nov. 5 ordered bond of Max E. Gerber, 28, 620 11th Ave. South, remain as previously set. Magistrate Judge Michael Judge in October ordered bond be set at $50,000 cash only.
Thwing on Oct. 28 filed a motion for bond reduction. Thwing in the motion said Gerber promised to appear at any time the Court directed. The motion also said Gerber had a place to reside if released. The motion added Gerber had no means to post bond.
Gerber is charged with one count of first-degree arson, a Class B felony. Final pretrial conferences are scheduled for 10 a.m. Dec. 19. A jury trial is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Jan. 6.
