CLINTON — The American Queen's scheduled Clinton stop, which was set for Thursday, has been cancelled.
Clinton Convention and Visitors Bureau Director Mary Seely confirmed that the American Queen's visit was cancelled due to the water level being too high down river. She said the water level in Clinton was not an issue in the cancellation.
Seely said the American Queen anticipates it will make its two other scheduled Clinton visits on July 25 and Aug. 8 since water levels are predicted to go down.
The CVB previously announced the cancellation of the American Dutchess's Clinton stop, which was planned for Aug. 14. The American Dutchess's Clinton stop was cancelled due to flooding and lack of passengers signing up for the cruise.
