CLINTON — A Clinton man pleaded guilty Wednesday to two counts of lascivious acts with a child and one count of indecent contact with a child.

Christopher S. Mussmann, 37, 260 21st Ave. North, pleaded guilty to two counts of lascivious acts with a child, a Class C felony, and one count of indecent contact with a child, an aggravated misdemeanor, in Clinton County District Court.

According to the plea agreement, Mussmann is not eligible for a deferred judgment for the lascivious acts charges, pursuant to Iowa Code. Mussmann, in addition to any other sentences provided by law, will be placed on lifetime parole with the possibility of additional incarceration for each count.

For indecent contact with a child, Mussmann will be sentenced to an additional 10 years of parole supervision and possible incarceration in addition to any other sentence provided by law. He must register as a sex offender, the plea agreement says.

The pleas are open pleas and no promises are made regarding the disposition. Sentencing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Nov. 14.

The amended trial information says one count of lascivious acts with a child was committed on or about 2015 and 2016, and count two was committed on or about 2016. The indecent contact with a child occurred sometime between July 29, 2017 to August 6, 2017.
