CLINTON — As a nonprofit organization, the Felix Adler Children's Discovery Center looks to fundraising to boost its finances.

On Saturday, the children's museum was home to a large rummage sale featuring clothes and household items to raise funds to do just that.

The sale, set to run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., already had brought in a lot of visitors and sales by noon, said executive director Sarah Lind.

She credited Discovery Center volunteers Andy and Amanda Jensen for bringing the idea to light and also collecting items from area residents, who donated their items for the sale.

The Felix Adler Children’s Discovery Center is a non-profit children’s museum whose mission is to provide a safe and positive environment for families to discover the world by exploring arts, culture, literacy and science through educational programs and interactive exhibits.
