Former Clinton resident drops out of Congressional race

OSCEOLA – Osceola Mayor and Clinton High School graduate Thomas Kedley announced Saturday that he is stepping down from Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District Race.

The 31-year-old Republican educator filed paperwork with the Federal Elections Commission in early May to run for the seat after Rep. Dave Loebsack announced his retirement. Kedley has decided to back out of the race to continue to serve the community of Osceola, his campaign said.
