CLINTON – YWCA Clinton announced this week the addition of a new program director. Gabriella Torres recently joined the nonprofit as the marketing and fund development director.
Torres, formerly the Assistant Director of the Clinton Public Library, holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from The New School University in New York City and a master’s degree in teaching English as a foreign language and teaching English to speakers of a second language.
Torres brings experience in nonprofit communications, fundraising, and grant writing to her new position, the YWCA said in a press release.
“As a Clinton native, I am thrilled to be part of an organization that has played an integral role in the wellbeing of our community for over 100 years,” Torres said in a press release.
“It is my goal as the Marketing & Fund Development Director to highlight all the many ways YWCA Clinton supports our town and helps make it a great place to live and thrive.”
YWCA Clinton has been active since the formation of the local chapter in 1915 and has evolved into an organization that provides a full array of health and wellness options, childcare, preschool and youth programming as well as housing and homelessness prevention services, the YWCA said.
