Free school supplies available to low-income families

CLINTON – Community Action of Eastern Iowa will provide free school supplies to low-income Clinton County children whose households meet federally established income guidelines.

Clinton and Camanche families must register before the end of the month to receive the supplies, the organization said in a press release this week.

Parents and guardians of children in kindergarten through 12th grades may register at the Community Action Office, 240 N. Bluff Blvd., Suite 203 between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. An ID showing current residency is required.

School supplies will be available in August for children who live in the DeWitt area and outlying areas of Clinton County

Anyone wishing to donate to the Backpack Buddy Program may contact Community Action or drop off new school supply items at the Clinton office. For more information contact the Clinton office at 563-243-5220 or toll free at 866-243-5220.
