Get prepared for severe weather

STERLING, Ill. — Would you like to have a better understanding of tornadoes, thunderstorms, lightning, and other types of severe weather?

If so, consider attending a Severe Weather Webinar from 1:30 to 3 p.m. April 25 at the Whiteside County Extension Office in Sterling or by attending at home on your own computer.

Extension educator and weather instructor Duane Friend will cover current research on tornadoes and lightning; types of tornadoes and thunderstorms; information on tornadic winds, damage and protection; and interesting facts on tornadoes, thunderstorms and lightning.

The seminar is free to attend, but registration is required. Space is limited.
