Inclusive playground under construction

Eagle Heights Elementary playground waits for resurfacing last week after inclusive playground equipment is installed. Parents and teachers began raising money last summer to purchase new equipment so that students with disabilities will be able to integrate on the playground as well as in the classroom, they said. The group set a goal of $143,000, but raised $155,000, allowing project planners to order more equipment. Clinton Community School District agreed to resurface the playground area after equipment was installed. The school board hired Clinton Engineering for $130,171 last month to do the job.
