Supervisors will consider student loan incentive agreement

CLINTON — The Clinton County Supervisors will consider a resolution to approve a 28E agreement for a student loan incentive program.

The Clinton County Board of Supervisors agenda under resolutions includes a resolution to approve a 28E agreement with various entities for a student loan incentive program's administration. The resolution states the agreement will be filed with the Iowa Secretary of State and Clinton County Recorder upon approval by each party.

Clinton Regional Development Corp. Existing Industry Manager Andy Sokolovich in December proposed the county adopt a student loan assistance program for individuals moving into Clinton County. He also pitched the program to representatives of cities and other organizations in the county. Peanut Butter, a company that assists organizations structure student loan repayment plans, would administer the program for Clinton County agencies.

The Supervisors will consider the county driveway entrance policy and appointments to the ECIA Eastern Iowa Regional Housing Authority Board under discussion with possible action. The board at 9:30 a.m. will hold a public hearing to solicit public comment on a proposed budget amendment to the county fiscal year 2019 budget.

The Supervisors will meet Monday at the Clinton County Satellite Office, 226 11th St., DeWitt. The meeting will take place in the large conference room. Formal action and motions will begin at 9:15 a.m.
