MOUNT CARROLL, Ill. – Timber Lake Playhouse opens its first-ever Christmas show Dec. 13 to 16 at Henry’s Double K Supper Club in Mount Carroll.
"Christmas Kaleidoscope" is a Branson-style musical, with singing and comedy designed to put you in the Christmas spirit.
Returning to TLP are Robert McFletcher-Jones (2018 education director) and Lena Gabriel (2018 music director). Jones will perform in "Kaleidoscope" and Gabriel will perform and act as music director. Ben Danielowski ("Beauty and the Beast" 2018) also returns to TLP as designer/tech director. Joining them on stage are newcomers Ben Marshall, Taylor Kraft and Conor McGarry.
"Christmas Kaleidoscope" will feature a big-band sound with TLP veterans making a return. Band members include Mike McCoy, Ben Logan, Joe Titus, Becky Holland, Emily Bressler, Deanna Deal and Joshua Cervenka. TLP Executive Director Dan Danielowski leads the creative team and TLP Artistic Director Paul Stancato assists and will be onstage playing drums with the Kaleidoscope Orchestra.
“Bringing TLP’s Christmas show to Henry’s is not a new thing for Timber Lake,” said Danielowski. “Over 40 years ago when the playhouse burned down, TLP finished the season at what was then the theater space for Shimer College, now Henry’s Double K.”
Tickets are $50 for adults, $45 for seniors, and $40 for students and include dinner and show. Dinner is a prime rib buffet and includes dessert at intermission. Call the box office for special pricing for children 12 and under.
