GOOSE LAKE — One person is dead after a motorcycle crash late Wednesday afternoon west of Goose Lake.
Clinton County deputies were dispatched shortly after 5 p.m. to Iowa 136 near mile marker 15, which is just west of Goose Lake. According to a press release, deputies learned the injured individual had been the only person on the motorcycle. A witness reported the motorcycle was westbound on Iowa 136 and entered the north ditch.
The driver, whose name was not released by authorities Wednesday night, was transported from the accident scene to the parking lot at Northeast Elementary School to be transferred to an air ambulance helicopter. Shortly after arrival at Northeast, deputies were notified the driver had died.
Iowa 136 was shut down for a brief time. The accident remains under investigation.
