MAQUOKETA — Do things really go bump in the night? Can people find evidence of the paranormal?

Come to Prairie Creek Recreation area pavilion at 6 p.m. Oct. 26 to get in the Halloween spirit. Attendees will welcome local paranormal investigators from Transcendent Paranormal Society, based out of Dubuque, who will present findings from some of their paranormal investigations.

The group will walk through the dark, wooded hills of Prairie Creek. Along the trail, paranormal investigators will demonstrate some of their equipment and how it is used. This event is free.

Come dressed for the weather because it might get chilly. This is a free event for all ages who are not easily spooked. Prairie Creek Recreation Area is located at 1215 E. Summit St., Maquoketa.
