The NFL Survivor Pool has been a difficult one to keep tabs on this season. Upsets have happened, with very few teams separating themselves from the rest of the pack.
If you're still alive, here's the best best for the week 9 NFL Survivor Pool.
The Bills are beating teams that they're supposed to on a weekly basis. That should be a good omen for week 9 when the Bills take on the struggling Redskins.
Washington's offense is atrocious. The Redskins rank in the bottom-10 of the NFL in yards per play at 5, while the Bills have been mediocre at 5.4 yards per play. Even better for the Bills, though, is the 4.8 yards per play they're allowing.
Buffalo gets to host Washington, with the Redskins being on back-to-back road games. Don't overthink this week, with the Bills being the better team.
If you're looking for a sleeper, go with the Raiders.
Oakland is better than many believe this season. The Raiders own the fourth-best offense in the NFL in yards per play at 6.2. In the last three games, the Raiders are even better, averaging 6.8 yards per play.
Meanwhile, the Lions have seen their dominating defense has fallen by the wayside, now ranking 26th in the NFL in yards per play allowed. The Lions have not been the same defense in recent weeks and now I get them on the road against an emerging offense for Oakland.
New York Jets
The strategy in picking against the Miami Dolphins will come to a head this weekend.
The Dolphins will square off against the New York Jets, meaning this is one of the final times that Miami has for winning a game. The Dolphins have put up some decent fights in recent weeks, but the Jets have been atrocious recently, especially on the offensive side of the ball.
The Jets are averaging the least amount of yards per play in the NFL. New York owns the better defense, but I'm not sure I would risk my Survivor Pool life on the Jets.
