The Salvation Army is grateful to the Clinton area for all the support received during the Christmas fundraising efforts. This year we were able to raise over $109,000. We are very excited about the generosity in our community. This will go a long way to help us provide the services that we offer all year long.
We are very grateful to all our many volunteers who helped out during the holiday season. We could not have done it without them.
The Salvation Army also wishes to thank the groups who helped ring bells: The Clinton Rotary, Clinton Kiwanis, Clinton Lions Club, Camanche Kiwanis, Clinton Community College, Ruhl and Ruhl Realtors, 1st Gateway Credit Union, Clinton National Bank, Hy-Vee, Skyline Center, Clinton Family Dental, Clinton High School Interact Club, Mac 94.7, Clinton Herald and the Central DeWitt High School National Honors Society.
Special thanks also go out to Walmart, Shoe Sensation, 1st Gateway Credit Union, Ascentra Credit Union, and USP Technologies for hosting The Salvation Army Angel Trees, to Blaine’s Farm and Fleet and the Council of Social Agencies for collecting toys throughout the holiday season and everyone who donated toys and clothes to our Angel Tree. Also, thanks to the Clinton Jaycees who provided the meat for our holiday food boxes. We also want to thank the many volunteers who came in to help us sort food and toys for our Christmas distribution.
The funds raised through the Christmas campaign help support programs and services in Clinton throughout the year. For more information on The Salvation Army programs, or to find out how you can help, call 242-4502 or stop by the office during normal business hours.
