If you are looking for someone to work hard in the Iowa Senate for better schools, look no further than Senator Tod Bowman.
He’s a supporter of fully funding K-12 schools so that our students can compete for good, 21st century jobs. The last several years of one percent allowable growth will not give Iowans the K-12 schools they expect. He also voted to invest more resources in job training, tech-training programs and apprenticeships at Northeast Iowa Community College in Peosta and other community colleges. Recent cuts in funds to community colleges have been detrimental to providing trained workers for Iowa industries.
Tod has worked hard in the Iowa Senate to expand early childhood and preschool initiatives, to empower and respect our teachers, and to prevent class sizes growing in our rural schools.
These days, too many politicians talk one way when they are home and vote another way when they go to Des Moines. Not Tod Bowman! He’s a straight shooter who listens to the people of Jackson, Jones and Dubuque counties and then takes on the special interests at the Iowa Capitol.
I’m voting for Tod Bowman District 29 Senate on November 6. Please join me.
