Reader: Dispatchers are unsung heroes

This is a special shout out to the unsung heroes – the Clinton County Sheriff, Fire and Police dispatchers.

As a kid, the scanner ran 24/7 in our home and to us kids it was just noise that we got used to, but it was so my Dad could be informed of what might be going on in Clinton County.

Thirty-five years later, I started to listen to that scanner again in more detail and I was impressed with the amount of detail the dispatchers must process and then forward in a calm and professional way to first responders to prepare and protect them and others before they arrive at a scene. Thank you to those that don't sometimes hear the words "great job." Thank you.
