Tee It Up For TaTa's was a success

Valley Oaks Golf Course, in Clinton, hosted its second annual Tee It Up For TaTa's golf outing on Saturday, Oct. 13. The outing is played to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and all the proceeds are donated to the Susan G. Komen Greater Iowa Foundation.

We had 76 hearty players that showed up and braved the cold, windy day to help support the cause. Money was raised through a combination of entry fees, sponsorships, raffles, T-shirt sales, Mulligan sales, and a 50/50 raffle.

Prize winners were also very generous in donating back their cash prizes. Teams played from special pink tees on the par 5's as a reminder of what the day was really all about. Everyone that participated was very supportive.

The staff at Valley Oaks would like to thank all the local businesses for generously donating prizes, gift cards, tickets, etc. to make our raffle prizes better than ever. Valley Oaks would also like to thank its employees and volunteers for all the hard work involved to make this event a success. This year's proceeds totaled $4,085 and are being forwarded to Susan G. Komen Greater Iowa!
