THOMPSON – The Fulton duo of Andrew Schraeder and Patrick Wiebenga led the way in the Steamers' commanding win over Mount Carroll Tuesday night at Sandburr Run Golf Course.
Schraeder was the event's medalist after shooting a red-hot 35 to lead Fulton in its first action of the 2018 season. Wiebenga pitched in a 41 and Ian Wiebenga added a 45 to pace the Steamers.
West Carroll, who finished with a overall score of 200, was led by Deacon Hill, who finished in a three-way tie for fourth place individually with a 47.
"Our top-four had a bad stretch of holes or two but still didn't stray too far away from their averages," Mount Carroll coach Joe Meade said. "We would like to be under 200 as a team but still not bad for the second meet of the year."
